The Road to College (Pt 1)

This is a blog series about my road to college! (Any names that are used will not be real names)

I’m currently a junior in high school, which means it’s time for me to figure what I’m going to do for the rest of my life. With this blog series I’m going to rant about what’s stressing me out about college and how I’m dealing with it (in most cases I won’t be dealing with it).

Today I took the SAT! I think I did pretty well. I felt really good about the math without calculator portion, which is crazy!! I never do well on that part, so that’s a real accomplishment for me. Anyway, I’m aiming for a 1300. I think that’s a good score to aim for because it will show I’m above average and really that’s all I need to get into most of the schools I’m applying to.

I still think that the SAT is stupid and that students should not be forced to take it. The test isn’t even testing intelligence, it’s for how well you take tests. Which sucks for me because I’m not that good at taking tests. We also had to write an essay even though the essay is optional. But it’s a good thing that I took it because Wash U requires students to take the writing portion.

Anyway, I was glad when it was over. I just hope I got the score that I wanted, otherwise I’ll have to take the test again and I really don’t want to do that. I would just have to study again and this time I would have to pay for it which is not something that I want to do.

That’s it for now! I’ll be back with more stress inducing situations soon!
